Must do if you looking to visit any mountain top

Note: You need a printed ticket. Mobile voucher will not work. Do the trip in reverse order - first the bus to Gondola station (station opens at 8.30), then the cable car, then down in cog wheel train and then the ship cruise. This will reduce the rush a lot. Try out some of the trails if not all - all has its own charm. Listen to the Alp Horn performance (happens every 30 minute or so) Try to sit in front of Gondola, cable car and cog wheel train - the view is excellent from front.

Excellent value but meeting instructions a bit misleading

We enjoyed the experience but were a bit unsure of what was to happen at the beginning - although we understood it was a self guided trip we were expecting to meet a staff member at the Bus Stop to check our booking. We realised eventually that we just get on the bus - as we said it was very good value and a wonderful trip.

I highly recommend this trip when you’re visiting Lucerne.

The visit to Mt. Pilatus is breathtaking and ending it with a beautiful trip around Lake Lucerne was very well worth it. We had a beautiful sunny day. And it’s an easy bus trip from central Lucerne to Kriens, where you begin your trip up the mountain on a gondola.

Beautiful, my favorite part of a ten day trip!

This is a must do if in the area, the day we went the weather was great. If you go in March, you may want to just get the tram tickets at the mountain, we had opted for the tram and cog wheel train down but the train wasn’t running yet. It was still awesome.

The combination of different travel modes was very exciting.

We enjoyed a great day. The weather forecast was promising a lot of rain. And it did rain, but as the day unfolded, we had an excellent experience of moving clouds, occasional sunshine and beautiful views.
