What people are saying about Phu Quoc
It was advertised as a 30 person max tour. Our boat had 45 people and was a little crowded on the boat. The hotel pick up and getting to the harbor took over an hour (and I was one of the last to be picked up). Seems inefficient to stop at everyone’s hotel. I would rather just meet at a central location and then have everyone leave together. The first stop and third island stops were very crowded - about 10-15 other boats doing the same thing. Snorkeling is okay - nothing special if you’ve snorkeled other places. Lunch on the boat was pretty good and it was nice excursion despite the logistics.
We had a great time seeing the beautiful scenery from the longest cable car in the world. Skye, our guide, was great fun and provided plenty of information and laughs. The speed boat ride was exciting and we were given ample warning of waves/getting splashed and were able to keep all necessary belongings dry. Decent snorkeling spots and tasty lunch included. Definitely be prepared to be wet for half the day, bring towels!
No complaints. We stopped in several places, got fresh water on the bus and had nice overview of the island and it's history. Guide was funny and talkative.
