The people at the meeting point were friendly. They gave good instructions. However, one out of 3 pens (used for audio guide) wasn't working and we were already inside the Louvre. When I asked if I could go out, the chances of getting in again was dubious. I tried calling their hotline but no one was answering. It was good that we had 3 devices so we shared devices. We used it for 3 hours (because of course we took photos and rests in between) and had a wonderful time with their tour. Of course not all works were highlighted which made us curious if the official museum audio was better. It was a great tour with concise and noteworthy information.
I would have given this ticket an excellent rating but had to stand in line to show our tickets and give a credit card to be charged a $60.00 deposit which we would receive a credit back after audio guide was returned. No where did I read anything about that! The office we had to go into was VERY SMALL! Not the best setup. I will say that we were happy to skip the line! No wait to get into the museum.
The Louvre is extraordinary and must be seen. We were going to skip it and just do the D'Orsay instead, but decided to go. A must! AND a must to use this ticket source! The timed entrance was great, the directions and details provided on this website were clear, two languages available, accessible overseas with ease, no paper tickets necessary, and extremely valuable! Will be using again. Thank you!
The archetype of all museums, the Platonic higher form on which all museums are based and which all museums can only aspire to emulate. Not to be missed by anyone with a love of history, art or culture. The crowds can be a bit stupendous too, but except for certain bottle necks (notably the Mona Lisa), the museum is big enough to accomodate them all
The ticket helped skip the line but the Louvre Wifi was so bad that even if I had realised that the app it said I should download for an audio guide, wasn’t actually free, I would not have been able to listen to the audio guide anyway. Strange that all the other art museums in Europe have free app audio guides.
