Top attractions in Perth
Perth in western Australia is set along the Swan River and the Indian Ocean and it gets more sunshine than any other city in Australia so it is the perfect place for being outdoors. Take a walking tour for sightseeing in the city that the mining boons created. Hear stories about pioneers and events that shaped the city. Explore beautiful gardens and see the Swan River. You'll even discover the best bars in town.
Take a combined coach tour and river cruise and see Kings Park, Cottesloe Beach, the Western Australia cricket ground, and the Perth Mint. While cruising down the river, you can enjoy the architecture and views along the Swan River including the Swan Bell Tower.
On a walking tour of historic Fremantle, the port city of Perth, you'll see the scenic town with its dock and warehouses. But a good guide can bring to life the stories of the Aborigines and outlaws who pasted through this port. Art galleries and museums display local art.
You can see the natural side of Fremantle at one of the beaches or by taking a bushwalk in the city park. For snorkeling go to Rottnest Island with its reef to see the underwater wildlife.
What people are saying about Perth
The boat was well presented , clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and attentive serving good wine and a cheese platter with great Western Australian produce. The trip represented great value and a quality experience. Andrew and Colleen did a fabulous job
The Rottnest Island ferry and bus tour package made for an excellent day out, made all the better by our fabulous Scottish tour guide Dez (we love you Dez!). The Island is amazing, even in the winter months. The only issues we had came from using GetYourGuide to book out tickets - upon booking they didn't send us all the information we should have received by email, which meant we missed our bus pick-up from our hostel (we were walking distance from the ferry terminal, so not the end of the world). We were also not warned that upon arriving at the ferry terminal we needed to queue up to get official tickets for our bookings, but by happy accident we queued up and got them anyway. Thankfully these hiccups didn't stop us having a great day, and all the ferry terminal staff and staff on the Island were super helpful and informative when we had any problems. Overall, we had a great day!
If you want to do a wine tour well then this is the one to go on. We met the fabulous Tim at Guildford Train Station & he made us feel completely comfortable right from the start. It was a totally enjoyable, informative & memorable day. We visited 5 fantastic wineries & had a lovely lunch at Houghtons which is set in the most beautiful of surroundings. There was a great selection of wines on offer at each stop & I have to say the hosts are very generous with their tastings. The whole day was amazing & we would definitely recommend Tim & his company to anyone who was looking to book a wine tour. with their samples.
The tour was excellent and I can strongly recommend it. Here are some things I really liked: I was picked up in front of my apartment and brought back home even though I am not staying downtown Perth. Natalie and Gavin are really knowledgeable, ask them anything. You get to do a lot in one day: you see the swan valley, you do chocolate and wine tasting, you can do sand boarding, and finally you are in the pinnacles desert for sunset, barbecue and star-gazing. And yet, despite all the activities it did not feel stressful at all. Natalie and Gavin did really put together a beautiful tour!
What a great tour our guide Mark was very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent time nothing was too much trouble. Spent a good amount of time wandering around the Pinnacles and those who chose not to wander were driven the meal was very tasty.
