When we arrived it was quite busy the person selling tickets just ignored us. We spoke to a female bus driver who said she could not exchange our voucher for tickets . When we asked the person selling tickets she said I only sell tickets I do not know, the driver muttered in Portuguese and drove off. We spoke to another driver who had no problem with the voucher, we witnessed this happen to other people . My advice do not book in advance as the voucher causes problems, buy the tickets at the bus terminal .
Absolutely amazing and perfect way to see the sites of Lisbon with a family and three small children!! Using the 48 hour ticket we did both buses in one day including stop offs, then second day one more bus and the trams, secret to the teams, do not que up for hours on end walk up the street and jump on at the next stop with no waiting ;) lisbon is beautiful, make time to do the tram 28 both in the day to enjoy the sites, and at night to see the life :)
We bought a two day, 4 route ticket and managed to complete all four circuits over the two days. It was certainly a good way to see a lot of Lisbon and some nearby towns along the coast. Busses were pretty regular and not overcrowded and the on-ground staff were very friendly and helful. Only criticism really was the terrible quality headphones they supplied (audio quality very poor and distorted) - so for the best results, bring your own.
The route was great, very informative. Once I figured it out, that the bus itself had WI-FI, I immediately was able to post my location on social media and able to learn more about the sites via the Internet. The ability to get on and off anywhere was great. Sometimes the audio guide did not match the location precisely, so I was lost looking for the monument.
You can hop on at the beginning at Marquese Pombal square and Hop off anywhere. But there was big problem to Hop on on any other bus stop. In high season it should be somehow better organized.
