This museum is huge! but so informative i wasn't aware of his many conflicts the French were involved in, so informative. We did have an issue at Napoleon Tomb where our phone ticket wouldn't scan, we then got accused of bring a fake ticket & it being a photo when it was on the app was this wasn't the case. We got sent to the ticket desk who just told us its nothing to do with them & wasn't bothered. After going back & forth the ticket desk decided to just give us a ticket to go in but i think it was cause they close at 5pm this was 4:30. So be prepared with Printed tickets just encase as we were nearly not allowed in But this is definitely worth a visit.
A lot of walking! I would recommend that you wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking involved. Went through security no hassle, was advised by a lovely security guard that we see napoleon's tomb first then the army museum. The tombs of Napoleon and the French army generals was something to behold. But the army museum has to be the best, different floors holding different, rich history. You can take your time going around. Took us 3 hours to see it all.
Not always, the ticket is able to help uou skip the line, as always you need to pass security first. So if you come at low season and to a site not so hot, it isbetter to buy ticket on the site. From time to time, you need anyway to buy ticket for audio guide at ticket office.
Well worth a visit if you are interested in history, especially from an armament view. From knights to Napolean and on to modern war. The buildings and displays are amazing. Need comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking.
it was absolutely wonderful! Our guide Francesca was amazing, she gave so much information on the history of venice as well as some great facts about the art :) I would definitely do this tour again! :)
