My friend and I were lucky as we ended up having the tour guide to ourselves. We went to 5 local restaurants and tried several local dishes., which were all delicious. We also loved the ambience of the pubs which were chosen as the locality was very interesting. The tour guide explained the history of the area and even told us how the second place started out as a rented lot! I can't really say which was our favourite food as we loved it all and are currently waiting for an email which has been promised by Lala, who is going to Send us the recipes for the tortilla and some other information. This was the last night of our holiday and also my friends birthday evening and has made us want to go back again to Palma and stay in the city the next time as there seems to be so many local areas we missed. We would definitely return to the places we went that evening. The night ended with a lovely meringue and a local Herb drink, which we loved. I would highly recommend this tourl
Outstanding entertainment with extremely attentive and talented staff. The riding was great from my 'beginner' walk to my wife's 'experienced' run, trot and canter experience with the horses. The evening entertainment compared and ran by the amazing Brazilian chap was way above what I expected ! His singing talent as well as his amazing humour was something to be admired and the trained horse shows were breathtaking as well as being horse friendly in my opinion. The True Spanish dancing and flame dancing were both amazing things to see and the bar-B-que was equally fine. The staff were brilliant with us all day in every aspect of the event and they are what really makes the whole experience special. Without the fantastic Brazilian and the specialist artists the place would be lost. All the staff however should be proud of themselves.
Marielaura is a very nice guide, who is able to explain very explicity the history of Palmas old quarter and of course the history and the specialities of tapas. Although I was the only guest, because the season has likely finished, she did not cancel the tour. It was a very entertaining evening, planned for 2,5 hours, but we talked so much about different topics (tapas, wine, the people, the spanish history, the mallorquin history) that we forgot the time and we were in the tapas bars for nearly 4 hours. I wish Marielaura and her husband much success for this business and many guests. Thanks for this great experience.
This tour was great! Our guide made us feel so welcome and kindly translated for us in flawless English (we booked a German tour without realising until it was too late for a refund). He was well versed on Palma history and architecture and offered insight tips and local recommendations. The tapas bar we visited was amazing- we were given stellar advice on what to order- we even went back there the next night! I highly recommend this tour. It's a great way to get to know the city and its' layout. Take it at the beginning of your trip if you're staying several days in Palma!
Not for the unfit since some steps and a couple uphill walking stretches are involved. Informed and approachable your guide, good pace, nice finish with the tapas although the handoff was initially a bit confusing (there were several participants that were part of their own group tour with other plans after walking tour and I was confused about the closing portion regarding stopping for tapas). Otherwise a nice evening walk through the old town of Palma.
