Full description
A large portion of the famous 296-kilometer River Thames runs along the south of England. As it passes through Oxford, it offers a charming route full of delightful scenery, historic pubs and corners in which history and literature lie.

Where exactly did Lewis Carroll first recount the story of “Alice in Wonderland”? How did the pub called "the Head of The River" get its name? You will tour the Thames as you pass through Oxford, from Iffley Lock to the Wolvercote village.

You will enjoy a comfortable walk of about 3 hours, with as many stops to rest and tell stories as you require. Your guides will tell you about the old canals and the historical "Towing Path", and you will also discover the Natural Parks that trail this route and enjoy the charms of Port Meadow. Travelers who get tired do not have to worry, as there are several pubs, inns and taverns along the way.
