Having had our admission tickets checked, the charming young man advised us that the tickets could be converted to an annual pass. He then directed us to a booth on the other side of the square. Here we met a jobsworth, who insisted that the ticket could not be converted and furthermore there was nothing to say that we had paid for the ticket.

Pretty grounds

There’s a free audio guide which is helpful, and even our 9 year old listened. The rooms get kind of crowded, though, so you might end up walking through them faster to get past everyone. We could have used a better walking map of all the grounds so that we could have headed toward the kid section faster, since we took quite a detour trying to find it. (That’s a fun area) The gift shop is very nice.
