Good guide

We enjoyed the bus tour it was very informative. The guide was good and knew everything there was to know about the architecture and the colleges. I didn’t realise we had to get a ticket even though we had printed one off. I was just going to jump on the bus with my printed one. I think that might need explaining on the website better. Also I didn’t realise your 24 hour ticket didn’t start until you had been given your proper ticket so we had a lot more time to use it as we didn’t get the proper ticket until 15:30 so could use it all the next day too till 15:30 which is worth remembering. But it was good and worth the money.

A good way to have an overview of Oxford

The route was excellent and the buses came frequently. The drivers were friendly and experts at squeezing in narrow spaces. The commentary was clear and informative. Not very busy on a Friday. The only problem was that I pre-booked the tickets online but realised afterwards that we would only be able to exchange our printed voucher for valid tickets at the main train station, which was not convenient. Booking online does not give you any advantage and if you had to cancel shortly before the trip, you would lose your money.

Informative and interesting tour

The tour was both informative and interesting, however, I would not recommend buying the ticket on line as some of the bus drivers do not know how to use them. After a five minute wait while the driver made a phone call he printed off numerous tickets, telling us they were all useless. He then told us we would have to get off his bus and catch another one as he could not print our tickets for us. We then caught the next bus and tha5 driver printed the tickets instantly. The tour had lots of stops and gave plenty of information explaining what was at each stop.
