Oregon: Taste of Willamette Valley Private Food Tour
- Private group
- Transportation included
- Duration: 6 hours
. Driver guide was great, friendly, informative. First two stops were great, Rocco and Erath, but then we went to The Vineyard from Hell. Domaine Serene. we walked in and the first young lady told us in an arrogant tone, sorry, you have no reservation. We sat down, but then the next female waiter, also was not kind and said, are you sure you should be here. Then the female manager wasn’t nice and had an arrogant unfriendly tone with us. Never once saying, don’t worry we will work it out. The owner of the Tour Mr. Pendelton? Is a member there and we were told by the guide that we will have our tasting in the members tasting room. Well, not the case. Then the Male manager came over and was snobbish to us, as if he owned the joint. We decided to all walk out. We, being two older couples from NYC and Austin. My wife said to him , you could have been nicer to us.. He started to sass my wife, so I immediately told him to shut up , as no one talks to my wife that way.
Our tour guide - Gunner, was on time, very polite and knowledgeable. He keep us all well entertained as we traveled to the Willamette Valley. The day was very cold, but clear blue skies, with snow across the vineyards and surrounds and amazing views of the distant mountains. The wine tasting was very enlightening and enjoyable, great Pinot Noir's, A fabulous tour and well worth doing when visiting Portland!!
Nicco was extremely knowledgeable, professional, fun, engaging and organized with our group. The entire tour and wineries were perfect. An amazing value. Would definitely recommend to others as well as I would sign up for another tour.
Our driver was very knowledgeable and she filled us in on each vineyard and the Yamhill County grape growing region. Each vinyard was different as were the selection of wines. Well worth the trip and would book again .
Our guide and other people we toured with were so friendly and conversational. We had a great time getting to know everyone and taking in the beautiful scenery and wine.
