What people are saying about Old Town Market Place
The tour got off to a late start as the road outside our apartments was closed and we had some difficulty locating the guide. When she met us at the meeting point, we were escorted to a comfortable 15 seater Mercedes Springer, which was full by the time we had collected the remaining members of the group. The tour gave us a brief overview of sites we passed in the bus. We then visited Lazenki Park which is where we spent most of the tour. The park is very large, therefore you only see a small section with the main aspects. We then headed to the main town to see the main square. All in all, the trip is a good way to see most of the main tourist attractions in Warsaw. However, it is quite expensive owing to the fact that you only see two places by foot.
Getting on the tour went easily, didn't even need to pull out the pre-paid ticket. Bus is well-sized, guide was well-informed and supportive even though my travel group had to slow down and eventually depart early from the rest of the tour group. Perhaps it would've helped if we had known the bus/walk ratio beforehand. Since we had the tour in Russian I was left wondering a bit whether it was slightly more concentrated on Russian buildings in the city or was it just a coincidence.
We were a group of 5 people and we were all very happy with the tour. Our guide, I think his name is Krzysztof, was very knowledgable about everything and answered questions and was all round very fun. He told us he was a historian which is not a bad person to get as your guide. Of course we don't know how the other guides are but overall we were very happy and can recommend this to everyone. :)
The three hour tour optimized all of the sights. The guide kept the group on focus and moving so we could see more sites. Provided excellent information about the impact of WWII on Warsaw. Also identified how the city was rebuilt. Great mix of driving and walking. We recommended to a group we met the next day in Warsaw.
The tour was excellent and very thorough. Olaf was knowledgeable and funny, driver Jerzy on point with driving and timing. We saw what we wanted, which is not always possible with really young children. Thanks a million for the brilliant tour.
