Full description
You will be taken far away from Odessa to Belgorod-Dnestrovskiy City, the ancient town located in the historical province of Bessarabia which has often been in dispute between Russia and Romania.

On the way you’ll see the main streets and get an impression of Odessa's downtown. Then you’ll drive along the coast southwards and 75 km from Odessa you’ll discover on the west side of the Dniester estuary, an impressive fortress in the bank of the river comprised mostly of a large system of walls and bastions. Sometimes referred to as Ackerman Fortress and dating back to the 13th century, the fortress was founded on the site of the Greek colony of Tyros, which existed from the 6th century BC. Subsequently Romans, Cossacks, Tatars, Russians and Romanians controlled this place . The fortress is one of the largest in Ukraine; its walls stretch nearly two km and its moat, once filled by an artificial tributary of the river, is six meters deep.
