What people are saying about Niagara-on-the-Lake
The weather was shocking so the boats and helicopters were not running which kinda ruined the day for us. We were though very impressed with the guided tour and the bus. Salvatori was funny, entertaining, knowledgable and a really nice guy. You get enough time at each location and lunch from the sandwich bar was very good. The falls them self were not as big as I had imagined but are well worth seeing, $25 per person for going behind the falls is not really worth it as you can get decent views from above the falls. Overall a good day out and worth the early start to beat the traffic and the queues.
We had a great day exploring the region. The driver was friendly, safe, and organized. The wineries we visited each had their own itinerary - some included a tour while others were just the tasting. Sometimes you could pick which wine you tasted while others had a pre-determined list. This made for a nice variety. The tour didn't ever feel rushed and we also had plenty of time in Niagara on the Lake (the town) for lunch. Overall, it was a really good day and a great way to experience the wineries without worrying about getting around or paying for tastings separately!
Pickup was prompt and all arrangements clearly explained. Getting to Niagara early had benefits for viewpoints being less crowded. The fact you paid extra for attractions worked well for us. The time at each location was about right. It was good being in a small group ( we were 7 but I think the bus held about 12). Thanks to Huri who was a good informative guide with a professional manner.
The only negative feedback I have is that we stopped at a lovely we village for one hour, but only spent about 20 minutes at the wine tasting. Apart from that everything else was absolutely fabulous, from the bus driver to our guide who was very informative but without being over the top as some guides can be. I would highly recommended this day trip to everyone who visits Toronto.
The Tour Guide, Mr. Ziqi Li and the Driver were very informative and patient. Very hospitable and comforting to all aboard. My sister has Parkinson and Dementia, they assisted in every way possible with her walker and caring for her down and up the stairs. June 13th was my (Denise) birthday and Mr. Ziqi greeted me with a birthday wish, so thoughtful.
