Waiting time for the next bus take some time, minimum 20-30 minutes. Be sure to cater more waiting time when you plan for your next itinerary and the closing time for the attraction place. Convenient to hop on and off without having the need to pay extra. However note that hop on and off pass only valid for 48 hours, so best if you could cover the 3 attractions during the 48 hours, or at least cover the further attractions such as royal yacht of britannia.
Really need two full days to enjoy the 3 attractions and go for full hop on hop off experience. I only had 1 day and had a Harry Potter Walk at 3pm so our family rushed through it. Would have been very ideal for 2 days to explore at leisure. The price is good value for money if you visited the three attractions and take the hop on hop off and drop at certain attractions.
Was great to have all main attractions included and was able to walk straight in, no lines to wait in to buy a ticket. The buses were also great to get to each location and see other sites in the city. My only suggestion is that there is announcement for which stop you are at on the red and blue lines as it got a bit confusing for someone who doesn’t know the city.
We used all three routes visiting the R Y Brittania, Palace of Holhrood House and the Castle. The drivers were friendly and helpful and Colin the guide on the Green route was very entertaining. I booked the three routes and the attractions on line as a one off ticket which was easy and cheaper than buying separately on the day
Very useful and helpful staff and good value for money. I would add that in some areas, it is quite difficult to find the bus stops you need, as in signposting and it would be helpful if you were made aware when the last bus was from each venue as we missed the last bus from the Castle.
