What people are saying about Naples

The meeting place instruction were awful.

The instructions to meet and where to meet was awful. The instruction and direction assumed that people where coming from one directions. It didn’t take in consideration that we are visitors from a foreign country and we aren’t familar with Italy at all. We took the metro to the train station so our left was actually should have been a right. Finally finding out who our tour guide were , he was rude as hell. The tour guide should have been there before the tourist with a sign on him describing what event. Having a sign would greatly help the tourist. I started out pissed as hell before my trip began. Your directions and the way you all do things should be a whole lot better. Giving a map and having a pointing area on it is no good at all. Ridiculous. Now the guy that took us to Pompeii was an excellent tour guide. The one that met us was fuckin ridiculous.

Tour guide good - organization average to poor

Through the previous helpful rating comments I could tell more about this tour than the actual description of it. The description in my opinion should tell you that you are only picking up the tickets in Sorrento and that you then take the train by yourself. Arrived in Pompei we had to wait for 40min (they told us 20) for the tour to start. So I am not sure why you actually have to choose a time for it, because it anyway seems fairly random to me. They just wait until they have a bigger group together. And the group was big. Over 20 people. the most important thing though is, that the tour itself was really good. It was really at least 2 hours long (counting from the time you actually leave with the guide) and the tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. So at the end it was worthwhile.

Rome to Pompeii full day tour with Paolo

We were on a cruise ship to Rome and decided to visit Pompeii for the day. We docked at the port of Civitavecchia and our driver Pino was there waiting for us, he spoke good English and his driving was very good too, it didn't take that long to get to Pompeii and the ride wasn't bad. We arrived at the entrance of Pompeii ruins as planned and Paolo was there waiting for us, a very nice gentleman! He is an official guide and we didn't have to wait in the queue for the tickets, he was able to show us the most important things of Pompeii and we really enjoyed it. The ride back to the port of Rome was great, not a lot of traffic and we arrived on time. We really enjoyed the tour, thank you very much to both Paolo and Pino!

Mediterranean beauty on the upper limits of excellence!

I am Greek and this part of Italy is the best for me because it reminds me of my country(sun sea history food no stress) Amalfi coast is awesome and a must visit. It combines mountain and sea with Positano and Amalfi the best spots to walk relax and swim. And if Claudio the guide says 'swim' then do it us i did...octomber and the water was warm!!! Now i am going back to Greece to continue this life...ahhhh! Ps: get the boat ride for a different perspective of amalfi

Great tour and time after to explore yourself

We had transfers to Pompeii from Sorrento included and this made it very easy as the ticket office is next to the train station. Guide is very informative and goes at a leisurely pace. Takes you to all the major places of interest and at the end of the tour suggests other sights in Pompeii that you may wish to see yourself. All in all a great tour for a small cost
