Full description
With it's 2000 years of history and it's frenetic everyday life, Pozzuoli is one of the most attractive places in the region. After gathering at the the easily accessed metro stop, your first stop will be to the Flavian Amphitheater, built in the 1st century B.C. and used for public shows. You will then continue until the Macellum, also known as Temple of Serapide, an old market and symbol of the city. Pozzuoli has a very important port too, which you will have the chance to visit and discover the life of the friendly local people.

At the end of the tour, enjoy a local DOP wine tasting experience. On Saturdays and Sundays there will be something more: a visit to the Rione Terra, the first settlement of Puteoli, originally Dicearkia in Greek,  a multi-layered city with several Roman buildings with the most important one being the Temple of Augustus (today the Pozzuoli's Duomo).
