What people are saying about Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations
Easy to book, communicate and excellent excursion
We wanted a segway excursion that gave us the quality of our limited time here and this did not fail to deliver. Reading about other segway service providers where there was no communications between booking and actual date, this was concerning. Comparing, this was more expensive but reliability and delivery was essential and therefore worth it. We segwayed around with no problem after a quick recap on how to use them, we stopped for the brief historic talks and moved at a good pace. The instructor always kept an eye out. It was a shame at first that we could not communicate via headsets, however this made the trip more enjoyable so was later preferred. We had enough time later to seaway across the old streets which was fun. It was amazing that we could also segway on the roads, where drivers were very friendly. thank you
Everything worked well. The only thing we didn't know was that we had to visit the tourist information to get your pass, so it was a bit awkward trying to get on the metro using the bar-code on the printed voucher and we had to buy a single ticket (which was only 3 euros for us both). You have to present your card to the place of your visit and they issue the ticket to you. Buses are easy as all you do is to scan your card on boarding the buses and I presume that's all you need to do for the metro once you have the card.
Jean Pierre gave us a good training session on how maneuver the Segway before taking an a tour throughout Marseille. He took us to see all the wonderful sights throughout the city. He was very knowledgeable about all the sights & gave us a wonderfully comprehensive tour the the city. I would highly recommend Jean Pierre!
It is worth bying the card, we used the subway several times, we went on a boat trip, we were in Mucem, we took a small train to Notre Dame.We went to the small shops and got some small gifts, and could taste products
Interesting museum but there were a few areas closed at the time so it was a limited visit. Great building and architecture with fabulous views from the top and I really enjoyed touring the adjacent old fort!
