What people are saying about Museum of Asian Art
Thinking we might have more time to visit some of Berlin's fabulous museums we purchased the 3-day museum pass ($27). Because there was so much other stuff to do, however, we only used the pass once. The pass doesn't allow you to acquire timed tickets (necessary to avoid lines at museums like The Pergamon) and is not good at all museums (like the outstanding museum at "Check-point Charlie"). So, if you're only spending a couple of days in Berlin, don't bother. Buy the 2-day hop on/hop off bus tour with one-hour River Spree boat cruise instead.)
Berlin has so many museums, and if you're a museum lover you can't go without this pass.. it will save you money if you're planning to visit more than 3 museums. Definately recommend it! Be sure to research and check out, which museum you'll need to book a spot like the Pergamon Museum you'd need to book to enter within a timeslot. This I've done when verifying the pass near the Tourist Information point near the Brandenburg Gate.
It would be nice if the the duration of the pass could be extended to a 4-6 day option since there are so many interesting museums to visit. It would also be nice if the option to arrange a timed visit in order to avoid the lines (through the tourist information offices) could be arranged in advance by e-mail. In any case we are gratefull for the existing system that contributed to an unforgetable visit to your butiful city.
I wish we had more time to see the museums but in 2 days we managed to go to the Pergamon, alto, Nueces and the Knoblauches House (the house is free to anyone, so I suggest using the pass towards musuems that charge entry)
We found the museum pass to be good for visiting museums over a few days in Berlin. It did not cover all the museums that we tried to visit (e.g. DDR) but did get entrance into the 5 museums on Museum Island.
