What people are saying about Munich
Our tour guide, Adam, was very engaging. Throughout entire tour, he was very mindful of his tone, and continued to focus on the victims involved rather than on the perpetrators. He was very knowledgeable, not only about this concentration camp, but he could also answer all the questions the group had about other concentration camps. He seemed very emotionally tuned in, and even though he has been giving these Dachau tours for 8.5 years, he still gives off an empathetic tone throughout the tour. At the end, you're given the time to have a look around by yourself, and reflect on what you have seen if you need to. Delivering this tour has to be difficult, but Adam did so in a way that we will keep with us for life.
Scott provided excellent information that provided us with an insight into life and death at Dachau. It was a moving visit that will stay with us. I personally learned a lot, not only about the dire conditions and treatment that people were subjected to but also the fact that many nationalities and people of differing religious beliefs were subjects of SS mistreatment. Dachau is a fitting memorial and the statue of the 'unknown prisoner' struck a particular chord. Thank you to Scott from the two Taffs - you did this difficult and upsetting subject justice.
Marcin our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and delivered the tour in a detailed and meticulous manner. I appreciated how he highlighted aspects of the museum and the events connected to the Holocaust, which we would have otherwise taken at surface level without questioning the complexities and politics of it. I highly recommend the trip.
We highly recommend this trip. It was a full day with English speaking guider with so much knowledge about who those people were, where and why they came. We got a depth of information about era from 1933-1944. I pictured the events and life in the camp vividly while walking through the camp with him.
Our guide was amazing, so informative and wanting to share his knowledge so we knew exatly what was a replica and what was going on, quite expensive though and travel is public transport so not sure if I would go again or just get an audio guide and walk through.
