I have gone on a tour to the Multnomah Waterfall before. I wanted to show these world-famous falls to my relatives from Europe. Soon after I booked this trip, the area was devastated by fires making access to the M. Falls impossible. It would have been nice if the company had told me earlier about the itinerary changes. As it turned out, we didn't get to see the famous M. Falls and we also could see the world most expensive restroom stop , Vista House. We had to settle for a much smaller (but still lovely) waterfall. Somehow I feel I was short changed.
Heather did incredible job with information ranging from geological, historical, interesting information and kept the entire van happy and able to experience these beautiful landmarks without the worries of driving and directions. It is not to be missed!!! Back in Portland for lunch and touring the local sights!
Chris had was extremely knowledgeable about the nature and waterfalls along the Columbian Gorge. He imparted this in a story like manner and conversed with everyone on the tour. He also knew his wines and especially about the wines in the Oregon region. The coffee and cookies were also a nice touch.
Our terrific guide, John, picked us up at our hotel, on time! And he kept the discussion and Portland area history interesting, was a careful driver, and took us to scenic outlooks and vistas! We really enjoyed the tour, and would recommend this activity, a memorable Saturday , even with the rain!
Clean, professional, comfortable on time tour van/bus picked us up at hotel. Guide was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Not a lot of time at each site but good for a nice overview of Multnomah and other beautiful waterfalls, and Columbia River gorge. Would recommend
