An expensive trip out but the views are wonderful. The landscape was phenomenal and the weather was beautiful. We took a 4 pm car up and walked along a path to a view point about 30 minutes away. It was cool and a lightweight fleece was perfect. The paths are well made and stable. The cable car gave amazing views. We saw these on the way up as we were pressed against the doors. On the way down we were squashed in the middle. Remember to take water - it helps with the altitude. We took our 6 and 9 year old. Our 9 year old unfortunately suffered altitude sickness - he was so brave but after he collapsed I had to carry him back along the walk and it was very difficult for him to stop himself from vomiting on the packed journey down.
Great experience and it was amazing to be able to see the islands of Gran Canaria and La Gomera as it was a clear day. Not for those afraid of heights as the cable car swings a little when goi g through the junction points This is easy to find and well dig posted but if driving yourself allow plenty of time to negotiate the winding roads to the cable car station. The views however are stunning! There iss good parking but someone still managed to clip our car. Overall a great experience enjoyed by all of our family that we would recommend to all.
We had just two days .. in Tenerife so the choice for cablecar at Teide was a better option . Realising we want to relax in the morning , I decided to reschedule the timing from 9:45 am to 2:10pm . I am relieved and happy coz we did not want to miss it . Booking , rescheduling was very prompt . My niece and I enjoyed every moment of it . Teide is a wonderful place , wish we had more time . The only setback was there was no pick up from our hotel and being Sunday we had to spent more than 60€ alone on taxi .. going up .
Overall Excellent experience, if you can book the one that allows you to go to the top of the mountain. But there were some organisation issues. Once I presented my ticket the organisation asked me for 50 euros or passports for each audio device. Ridiculous.. Also Unless you book very early the organisation force you to pay the 33 euros although even there is an option where you can pay 27 and there are slots for that time. It is a scam to make you pay more .ju
Great views a the top, but got a horrible headache back at the hotel because of the fast rise from 0m to almost 4000 m. After googling a bit this is a common thing when ascending over 3000m. Overall okay, but land around the teide almost more interesting than the mount
