This was, I feel, a good value visit. We got picked up and dropped off very locally and got a comfy ride up through the Tenerife mountains. The meal in a local vineyard was tasty and homely with very nice wine and amazing views. We had a warm welcome there. We arrived at the peak of Teide with enough time to see the landscape and watch the sunset. We were way above the clouds and soon the sky became really dark. Daniella, who presented the information about the stars was confident and entertaining. It was an interesting presentation for novice stargazers. The advice to wrap up warm was spot on. My only criticism is that the commentary on the coach journey up was difficult to hear (partly due to the sound system and party due to noise of engine). However I think what we got for the price was good value for a couple and a lovely way to see Teide.
I loved it. I got picked up from my hotel and we had a tour guide who I have forgotten her name but she was wonderful, informative, friendly and helpful she would take pictures of you if you were on your own or if you wanted one as a couple she informed us of the history as we were traveling. There were enough opportunities to stop and take picture of the view and the meal was good too I loved the sunset with wine and the star watching was amazing. I have never done anything like this before and it did not disappoint.
Spectacular landscape and climb from the top station to the summit. Our guide was amazing with a wealth of knowledge and great sense of humor. We couldn’t have asked for better weather with a breathtaking view of not only the caldera, and Tenerife italef bit of the neighbouring islands and even El Hierro in the distance. Well worth the effort to get to the top. The walk to the viewing point of Pico Viejo was excellent to. A beautiful crater. Highly recommended
I was the oldest person in this group. Coming from low flat land I had a definite disadvantage with the altitude and steep path. Jose was very patient and encouraging with me. I really appreciated this, especially his escorting me back down the path. The steep steps with no side rails or rocks to hang onto were a little daunting to this Canadian. Thank you for a great experience - Ann
Very well organised and knowledgeable organisers as well as the guides who were excellent. It is not the easiest hike, you overcome around 1000m in altitude over 10km distance. The guides set good steady pace for everyone to keep up. Hiking shoes are a must as well as plenty of water. I definitely recommend the tour and the breathtaking views are definitely worth the effort.
