Full description
Meet the friendly English speaking guide at Kyoto station and start your journey to Mount Koya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Do not worry about getting lost with transportation because your guide will take public transport with you to make sure you will be comfortable on the way.

Savor traditional style lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, you will visit Mount Koya. Admire the highland valley that lies in a complex mix of temples, shrines, pagodas, and was once home of Kobo Daishi, founder of the Shingon Buddhism school.

Stroll along the pathway between 1,300 century-old cedar trees to the Okuno-in cemetery where you can see about 200,000 tombstones and statues.

Be fascinated by the Kongo-Buji Temple, which name means Temple of the Diamond Mountain Peak. It is part of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.
