What people are saying about Mount Batur

An amazing experience that is a must for Bali travellers

Fantastic experience. We started with a very comfortable transfer from our villa in Uluwatu. Our guide Wi on arrival was amazing and gave us the best experience walking up Mount Batur and stayed with us overnight. He gave us great local knowledge, was considerate and very professional. We really enjoyed his company and invited him to sit and eat/drink with us to keep chatting, he commented how he was honoured to do this and I know he would have kept his distance if you prefer. The walk was strenuous but he gave us a challenge (thinking ourselves as pretty fit) and we pushed it to the top. The sunset was cloudy for us but views were still beautiful and the sunset in the morning was breathtaking!! Our tent was set up for us and the food was delicious and hot. We recommend that you wear good gripped shoes maybe shorts and T-shirt to walk up in with a change of clothes with warm layers in the evening. Take minimal stuff tho as you will be carrying it up. Great experience thank you Wi & co.

Awesome tour and guide well worth the early start

This was an amazing tour with and exceptional guide. We were picked up at 1.30am on the dot by our friendly driver Putu we picked another couple up in Ubud and we were on our way. We met our guide Tehnik at the bottom of the mountain who gave us flash lights and water for the trek up. Tehnik was fantastic he set a steady pace suited for everyone in the group and made sure we had plenty of breaks along the way. He was friendly and happy the whole way and gave us options as to which way we wanted to go. Once Tehnik realised I was afraid of heights he paid extra attention to me helping me up over difficult bits and making sure I felt comfortable. Breakfast at the top was simple but delicious and just what was needed after the trek up. Overall an exceptional tour and fabulous fantastic guide amazing experience we would definitely do this again

If you come to Bali you have to book this...

We booked this on a whim and it is definately the best thing we did during our stay in Bali. We had Komang Wira as our guide and driver, really energetic which is what you definately need at that time in the morning. Super friendly and helpful throughout the tour, a night time drive across Bali, a hike up a volcano, a much needed break in the hot springs just off mt Batur, and rounded it off with a guided tour of a coffee plantation (tasted so many different types of tea and coffee). Our guide Wayan Boring during the hike up mt Batur also deserves a special mention, so paitent and kind on the way up, never felt rushed, and was always there with a helping hand when i needed it. Will definately come and again and try and make sure i have the same guides.

The most beautiful experience i have ever made!!

We were picked up from pur driver Sapri, who was very friendly and talked a lot about the balinesian culture and habits with us. To get up one the Mt. batur, there is one guide for 5 people. Our guide Wayan was also very friendly and brought us safe on the top. The view and the sunrise are soooooo stunning, you really need to do that experience. Then there was also time to drive to some natural hot springs, which was relaxing after the hike. At the end we had the chance to see a coffee plantation an taste some local, typical tee and coffee. So everything was really fine and thank you so much Sapri and Wayan for your efforts!

A hard but rewarding hike followed by a chance to relax in hot springs

We were very well looked after for the whole trip. Prompt pick-up very early in the morning. Our guide for the hike took great care to see that we were safe. A good breakfast appeared as if by magic whist we sat on benches to watch the sunrise. Following our descent we went to the Hot Water Spring pools which were very welcome to relax tired legs (and wash away volcanic ash). A quick visit to the plantation with opportunity to try a number of teas, coffees and chocolate. No pressure to buy anything. Thank-you!
