What people are saying about Moscow

Was a bit cold, but the tour was very good indeed!

We had Julia as our local guide and it was a great experience! Short tour but very informative, nothing boring. The tour does not include Kremlin territory inside but the guide told us a lot about it and showed us most interesting places along the Kremlin walls.

Very informative, friendly guide with excellent English

It came to me in the middle of the night, it’s called an inkwell !! Back to the tour, I booked two tours on the same day & they arranged the same guide ( Raimund ) for both which was very handy, albeit worrisome if I didn’t like guide.. however Raimund had a solid grasp of Russian history, informatively explaining the timelines in interesting ways - you definitely can’t remember it all ! In addition, friendly & genuinely interested in your life & country. The tour locations speak for themselves, but having Raimund to navigate the Metro when your time poor was an excellent choice!

Really interesting tour with a local guide

We really enjoyed this tour. It was very informative and took us to places we might not have found on our own. We learned a lot from Andrew and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the Peter the Great Monument and also about some of the statues in the sculpture garden. Recommend highly.

Ms. Newman was impressive, knowledgeable, and caring, Excellent A+!

To whom it may concern: For the Communist Tour on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00, I encountered Ms. Tanya Newman at the St. Regis Hotel. In her initial explanation, Ms. Newman went to explain Moscow, Russian history including the monarchy, the late 19th, early 20th century, Russian revolution, Lenin, Stalin, the Soviet Union era, and the post Communist era. It was an impressive number of facts that still have an impact in Russia and around the world today. After my history lesson, Ms. Newman went to describe Lubyanskaya building and square with photographs and details. She described the history of the KGB, the statues honoring its prominent figures, the KGB's modus operandi, the number of victims, the old secrets and the lack of transparency until this day. Ms. Newman indicated that the Solovetsky Stone was one of the few monuments dedicated to the victims. After Lubyanskaya building and square, we proceeded to Red Square and entered the Lenin Mausoleum before it closed.

Interesting, entertaining and informative tour!

Dasha was very knowledgeable and engaging. She knows her history well and presents it animatedly with humour. I enjoyed the tour tremendously, learning much more about Russian history and culture.
