Full description
You will meet your guide at 9:30 AM on the Esplanade de l’Europe in Montpellier. From here you will take off in a minibus to reach the foothills of the Larzac Plateau, where you will make your first stop in a famous winery of the region. You will visit the cellar and oak barrel room, and finish with a tasting of their top quality wines.

You will then continue your tour, stopping on the way to admire the view of the gorges of the Hérault from the famous Devil's Bridge. Following this, you will head to the charming Medieval village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert, a jewel of Romanesque art in Languedoc, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whilst here you can take the time to stroll through the Medieval streets, and visit its famous abbey. You will then have free time for lunch in one of the restaurants of the village.

Then, you'll visit a second winery settled by a beautiful château and taste their excellent range of Terasses du Larzac wines. In the afternoon, visit a third boutique winery, where you'll learn about its history and taste their range of organic wines. You'll be back in Montpellier by 4:30/5:00 PM.

We had a fantastic trip. I highly recommend this intimate and exlusive experience. Carine is truly an expert guide. The vineyards were varied, interesting and beautiful as was the wine. I feel we got a good insight into Languedoc.
