Full description
Discover a landscape of extraordinary beauty just north of Málaga on a half-day excursion to the walkway of the Caminito del Rey. Encounter a footbridge over 3 kilometers in length, built on the walls of the Gaitanes Gorge (Desfiladero de los Gaitanes). Experience one of the most beautiful natural enclaves in the province at a canyon excavated by the River Guadalhorce. During some stretches, the incredible route reaches heights of up to 105 meters. Although the best-known stretch of the route is the footbridge, the total journey of the Caminito del Rey is 7.7 kilometers. You have to arrive at the start of the path by foot to follow the linear path in a single direction descending from north to south. Join a Spanish-speaking guide who will accompany you throughout the tour, and hear anecdotes and learn all the curiosities surrounding the incredible location and construction of the walkway.

This 3-hour wall/hike is an absolutely spectacular and unique experience! It’s like a small Grand Canyon only 1 hours drive from Malaga or 2 hours from Sevilla. Can be easily done as a day-trip or, if preferred, made into an overnight by staying in Antequera or any of the surrounding white washed villages.

Good fun, not too strenuous for a 77 year old.

Very enjoyable, excellent and friendly guide. My only gripe is to find at the other end when boarding the return bus we had to pay 1.50 euro for the return trip. Having spent £130 I thought that was not fair. Surely you could have included the return trip in the cost?

    Such a fun excursion

We met our guide at the agreed upon meeting point. The Caminito del Rey was absolutely beautiful. A must see! Our guide was very informative, friendly and helpful. At the end of the trek, the buses to take us back to our meeting point, were at capacity. Our guide very generously took us to a local restaurant where we had lunch and the restaurant drove us back to the original meeting point. A great way to spend the day!
