Full description
On this 1-hour visit to the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica (also named Museo Leonardo da Vinci), you’ll be taken through dozens of fascinating models: from the flying machines to war vehicles, and from the scuba gear to the revolving bridge. They all are very accurate models, created studying Leonardo’s drawings and sketches. You’ll learn the reasons why the genius designed this machinery, and the science behind how they actually work.

Through these objects, you’ll explore the genius of Leonardo and how he connected his extraordinary skills in art and science with his passion for nature. The tour will try to describe his continuous research and how he strived to achieve a better understanding of our world, and create new objects and solutions.

By viewing these small-scale models, you’ll also discover the mistakes and the failures of an extraordinary man. Some of those machines were in fact too futuristic for his time, but they still prove to have a great artistic and historic value. By the end of your visit to the Leonardo Parade, you will admire a few dozen 16th-century frescoes, removed from demolished Milanese churches and on consignment from Brera Art Gallery. Some of these works were made by artists of Leonardo’s school, such as Bernardino Luini, an artist who greatly affected the Renaissance painting in Lombardy.
