Full description
Start your 5-hour tour at the Monastery of St. Nicholas Anapavsa near Kastraki, or select the option including pickup and drop-off from Kalambaka or Kastraki. Follow the old winding paths used by monks and walk for 3 hours surrounded by the lush nature of Meteora. Stop at fantastic lookout points to take photos and enjoy the panoramic views. Pass beneath the ruined monastery of Pantocrator on the north side of the rock of Dupiani.

Then the path takes you to the heart of a lush forest before reaching the restored Monastery of Ypapanti and the ruins of St. Dimitrios. Afterwards, the trail turns uphill. A short walk leads you to the clifftop monasteries of Varlaam and Great Meteoro, one of which you will visit. Then walk downhill to Kastraki via the winding paths, passing the cave of St. George Mandila where climbers hang their scarves.
