Great cardio and meteora experience

It was great hiking experience. I enjoyed the nature, montorines and get to know a bit about them! We actually managed to get into the best one what I did not get while having a day before sun set tour. Tour guy was very helpful and friendly also quicker, better at hiking than us You still need to remember- its like a cardio exercise so do not expect to be too slow.

To recommend

Since nobody had booked the tour for this day, I was allowed to do it completely alone with Christos, which was very pleasant since we were traveling quite quickly. Christos told me a lot of history about the monasteries we passed and I was allowed to take a break in the largest monastery and take a look at everything and take pictures. Christos then explained to me which monasteries are open and when and which I can then visit after the tour.

Beautiful, interesting and ... Magical !!

Taken from a minibus to our hotel at 8.40 am, taken to the top of the mountain, and then ... An invigorating walk in the woods, which we could not have done without a guide (unmarked paths, no maps), to the Monastery of Metamorfosi. The guide, Christos, explained a lot of things to us about nature, culture and religion, in Italian for us and in French for the rest of the group (although the tour was officially in English only). The excursion is amazing, the monastery is wonderful, and the second (Demetrio) is also where Christos offered us typical fruit and sweets. Absolutely to be repeated !!! Worth all the money it costs !!
