Journey to the extraordinary monolith of El Peñol, located just 1.5 hours from El Poblado, and discover an abundance of things to do and see while you are there.

Enjoy a personalized tour with a bilingual guide, traveling by foot and by private air-conditioned car. See the replica of the old village of El Peñol, relocated in order to make way for a hydroelectric dam in the 1970s. Climb the crazy, zig-zag stairs to the top of the El Peñol rock. Be rewarded with magnificent views of the manmade lake from the top of the 730 steps.

Then, go to the village of Guatapé, renowned for the Pueblo de Zócalos, where the buildings in the historic center are covered in tiles of bright colors and interesting patterns. Find a place to taste fresh tilapia by the boardwalk, and take a stroll around the cozy village to see picturesque homes and encounter the friendly residents.

Return to Medellin, passing a series of interesting villages, such as El Retiro, Marinilla, Rionegro, and San Antonio de Pereira.
