Full description
Start your day by meeting your friendly and informative tour guide at the bus stop, Nore Dame de la Garde. After a short meet and greet with your guide you will set off to discover one of Marseille's most famous landmarks.

Your guide will accompany you on a walking tour through the historic cathedral. You will get to marvel at the Cathedral's decadent interiors as you listen to stories of Marseille's history and the fascinating facts about the Cathedral itself. Your guide will take you to the top of Notre Dame de la Garde where 360° panoramic views over Marseille await you. Your guide will provide you with historical facts about France's oldest city, whilst talking about particular locations and monuments such as the Old Port, Château d’If, Frioul islands, the Calanques National Park, Marseille’s football stadium, among others.

Once you have finished your tour of Notre Dame de la Garde, you will walk down the hill to visit a second world war memorial, a tank which was used to recover the Basilic from the Nazis. Following on your tour, you will continue toward Saint Victor's Abbey, one of the most important Christian monuments in the region. To end this tour, you will stop by the oldest bakery in Marseille to taste a local pastry, the very well-known, Navettes. Wash your pastry down at a small bar nearby where you will get to try some traditional and local beer from Marseilles.
