The adventure begins with pickup between 8:30 and 9am from your hotel in Marrakesh. Head south towards the vast Agafay Desert, admiring the changing landscape along the way as the city gives way to luscious greenery. Arrive at the large village of Imlil located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, then pass through the incredible Kik Plateau.

Next, embark on a 30-minute camel ride and soak up views of the surrounding landscapes. After your ride, enjoy a relaxing tea break and learn about local Berber culture, as well as their traditions, history, and way of life. Pass through several Berber villages on your way to the Amizmiz Valley, then arrive at Tinirt Village where you can have lunch at a traditional Berber house.

After lunch, continue the tour to the Great Plain of Haouz, passing through the village of Ouled Mataa which was originally inhabited by Bedouin Arab tribes from the desert. The day ends with a tour of the Agafay Desert, where you can take incredible photos for your holiday album, and marvel at the rugged Moroccan landscape that surrounds you. Absolutely fantastic trip, worth every penny. Our driver Abdul picked us up from our hotel and we headed on towards the Atlas Mountains. Along the way there were plenty of picture opportunities with Abdul answering any questions and giving us some insight into the history of the Berber towns. The Berber breakfast was lovely and the Argan oil tour very informative with opportunity to purchase lovely gifts. When we got to the Atlas Mountains, Rachid Jellah took over, he was a fantastic guide. Very informative and ensured we went at a pace to accommodate everyone in the group. Lots of beautiful views along the way from the cherry blossom to the waterfall. The Berber lunch was tasty and hearty, and we had the added bonus of enjoying it with a clear view of the Atlas Mountains. The day was topped off with a camel ride, quite an experience if you’ve never done it before. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Firstly how lucky we were to get a fantastic duo Sajid the Driver and Mohamed the English speaking guide, who was informative, extremely attentive, all day, meeting the groups needs and all done with a laugh and a joke. The day included a berber market visit (Tues only), oil making tour, small waterfalls, various food and drink stops and last but not least a camel ride. Lots of photograph opportunities and a chance to experience a slice of the real Morocco. Even a little shopping thrown in for good measure. A bit of a hike for the initial part of the walking tour, so not good for a person who hasn't got good mobility, although the guide was on hand to assist. Fantastic value for money !

Both our driver (Abderrahim) and our guide (Rachid Jellah) were top notch. They guided us well, gave a lot of explanation and were very helpful and friendly! Highly recommended to discover nature outside the busy city of Marrakech.
