What people are saying about Marble Mountains
To our surprise this was a private tour with a guide and a driver. Elle, was tremendous! And that's what made the day so wonderful. First it was Marble Mountain. There are two parts to this experience. First there is the opportunity to buy locally made jewelry and statues made from Marble. Next it's Marble Mountain itself. Wonderful views in a combination of a mountain climb, many small Buddhist shrines placed inside caves. You do have to climb up about 300 steps and come back down. If you are not into that you can do the first third of the trek and use an elevator for most of it. Next, it was off to Hoi An ancient City. This is a bit touristy but the city structures are worth seeing for sure. Our guide had a thorough knowledge of the city and its history. She was also very proud to be from this area and it really made in the history come to life. Included in the price of this excursion is lunch. But the lunch we got was not what we were expecting. It was 5 star!
I booked this tour on short notice the night before so it was a bit of a scramble in the morning that came together perfectly. My guide (Ellie) arrived early to my hostel and we were picked up by our driver (Yan). Everything about this tour was great due to these individuals. I did not want to be in a big group tour so this was the perfect solution to seeing both places in a day with a more personal experience. Ellie was extremely sweet and knowledgable and catered the day to my style of traveling. It is such welcoming people like her and Yan that make visiting new countries so fulfilling and enjoyable. Ellie even recommended some places I come back to visit in Vietnam that I already can't wait to see. I wish her and Yan nothing but success and any other future travelers will be in great hands booking a tour with them.
Despite little upfront information on the agenda, a very recommendable and beautiful experience. A must for everyone visiting Vietnam! We had a nice walking city tour through Hoi An including admission to museums and temples. At times you get into shops where they try to sell you something but without being pushy. After lunch (included in price) and 2 hours of free time, we were in for the second part: marble mountains. Also here people try to sell you some marble work but no pressure. The mountain tour was very nice, too.
The tour was excellent! The marble Mountain is wonderful. Just be careful with the steps as they are a bit slippery. The hike to the top of the cave mountain is challenging but doable. Hai Van pass drive is magnificent gave u the best views! Lang co Beach and its lagoon are just beauty beyond words. Our lady guide is very knowledgeable, smart and friendly. She has potential to go far.
The trip was good but I feel it needs more time because everything was in the rush especially the peninsula view and bagoda. It would have been a great trip if it was 6 hours. I also feel they are charging a bit more for this short trip. But overall it was a nice experience. Our guide was very helpful and nice which was important to us.
