Full description
Climb aboard a futuristic self-balancing Segway for a 3-hour tour through the history of Madrid, Spain’s bombastic capital since 1561. End with a meal at Madrid - and the world’s - oldest continuously operating restaurant (according to the Guinness Book of Records).

Your tour is an eco-friendly journey through the history of the city, right up until the present day. From the Madrid of the House of the Hapsburgs to the 21st century, explore the main sights, such as Plaza de Puerta Cerrada (Closed Door Square), site of a gate of the former Christian wall.

Departing from Plaza de San Miguel, glide down narrow streets to Calle Toledo and Plaza del Conde de Barajas to see artisan shops. Discover a center of gastronomy at the ornate San Miguel Market. Navigate the cobblestones of Plaza Mayor, heart of the 17th century city, and marvel at the oldest building in the city at Casa y Torre de los Lujanes.

Your adventure ends with a meal at the historic Sobrino de Botín restaurant. Established in 1725. According to the Guinness Book of Records this is the oldest restaurant in the world still operating in its original premises.

The house specialties are cochinillo asado (roast suckling pig) and roast lamb, which you are free to try along with typical Spanish dishes such as morcilla, croquetas and a selection of Iberian cold meats like ham and chorizo, all washed down with the house wine.
