Full description
Get to know part of Madrid on a 2-hour walking tour of some of its more majestic streets and districts.

Begin your tour directly east of the ancient heart of Madrid in the literary neighborhood, the Barrio de las Letras. It's here where some of the greatest writers, poets, and playwrights in history lived. The memorable quotes lining the streets make it one of the cultural highlights of the city by day, and the busy bars and cafés make it a party hotspot by night.

As you walk through the area, discover one of Ernest Hemingway's favorite bars, along with his passion for bullfighting. Then visit the Cervantes House, where one of the world's greatest novels, Don Quixote, was written.

Next, walk down Calle de Alcalá and the Paseo del Prado, where you'll find iconic buildings that form an incredible skyline of bold designs, vibrant colors, and monumental grandeur.

It said two hours, but the tour almost three which suited us but it would be better to have those times clear. I was also surprised to find it didn’t end where it had begun. This meant we were in park a long way from home. Again, not a problem but it would have been great to know this.

Great tour of Madrids finest towns/suburbs. I learnt a lot about spanish culture & history, thanks to our great tour guide Mark from Ireland. He was vast in knowledge & didn't make the tour boring. Only negative was there weren't enough toilet breaks; after consuming alot of water. Perhaps that's something you could take a hint and add it to future tours. It could always do with improvement. Thank you. Sonia (From London, UK)

My 16 years old daughter and I had great a tour. Very interesting and engaging. Our guide, Fabrizio Castro was fantastic, very knowledgable and engaging, with a perfect English. We have learned a lot and felt we had a special insight into some areas of Madrid which we would have missed. Worth every penny. The tour is dynamic and fun too, and even my teenager daughter was listening to every world. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Fabrizio was really helpful and happy to answer any questions. 5 stars
