Full description
Experience Madrid through its food and drink culture on a lunchtime walking tour of various tapas bars, and taste 10 tapas and 4 drinks typical to Spain.

Mornings are the best time to taste fresh tapas and see Madrid before the blaze of the midday sun. Walk the Baroque streets for 3 hours, stopping to enjoy venues along the way. Each tour is different and tailored to what visitors want to see, drink, and eat.

As you stroll, see historic attractions such as the busy Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and Plaza de la Villa. Admire the romantic 16th-century Puente de Segovia, the remains of the Muralla Árabe (Muslim Wall), and the monumental Plaza de Oriente.

Other highlights include the late Gothic Catedral de la Almudena, the vast Palacio Real (Royal Palace), and the exquisitely landscaped Jardines de Sabatini.

Great way to know the city and the culture!

Mario is a very good guide - born in the city, he knows A LOT about it, about the food, culture and so on. The tour was very well structured, you could actually enjoy everything at a good pace, without the need to rush anywhere. The only reason why I didn't put 5 stars is that out of the 4 places we visited 3 were absolutely great, while one of them could have been much better. But definitely recommended - great way to spend an afternoon (ideally at the beginning of your stay in Madrid - as you can get a lot of useful tips for the upcoming days!).

had louis, great guy with all the good spots in tow, awesome time

we had louis as a guide. he was really really great. he knew a lot about the good spots and had a good relationship with all the places. we were received with smiles and well wishes everywhere. we went to four places. a small tapa bar, then a place with great spanish omelete, then an awesome place that served the best mushrooms we had on our entire trip, and ended with a fantastic place that had really really good iberican ham. one of the workers in the last place, ramon, was a joy. i would really really recommend the last three places. i think he says he rotates between 12 places.

A fantastic experience

Our guide, Luis, was a very pleasant person. It was like being with a friend. We learned a lot, not only about tapas, but also about Spanish history and society.
