What people are saying about Lucerne
This is a must do tour! A truly amazing and wonderful experience. All the places we went were just sublime, we used various forms of exciting transport, but the icing on the cake was the experienced and well versed tour guide Dario. Dario made all the difference. He was very professional and kept us updated with so much information he made the tour informative and exciting! Keep up the excellent work Dario you have shown us the wonders of Switzerland but you were just amazing! Well done!
Note: You need a printed ticket. Mobile voucher will not work. Do the trip in reverse order - first the bus to Gondola station (station opens at 8.30), then the cable car, then down in cog wheel train and then the ship cruise. This will reduce the rush a lot. Try out some of the trails if not all - all has its own charm. Listen to the Alp Horn performance (happens every 30 minute or so) Try to sit in front of Gondola, cable car and cog wheel train - the view is excellent from front.
Tour went smoothly, although it was much larger tham I anticipated (about 60 people). It worked out fine but as the guide did a good job and tourmates respect the meeting time. I can see it is very difficult to manage such a large group with one guide and the meeting point is really busy so it's almost impossible to keep track on headcounts.
Lots of space and nice to have a cool breeze during the 2019 heat wave. Good audio recording information. Beautiful clean boat. Easy to find departure times and book online with getyourguide.com if the ticket kiosk is closed. Pier7 across from the Sweitzerhoff Hotel.
As long as you don't mind a few stairs you will get some amazing views. The first cable car stop had a lot of interesting things to do I would like to have had more time there but we were racing potential bad weather. Still a wonderful day.
