What people are saying about Lubyanka Building
We loved this tour. We enjoyed being told about the recent history of Moscow by a local guide. Elena described events in the communist history very well, and her description of these events was made even more interesting with the anecdotes she told about specific people's experiences. She took us to places that we simply could not have found on our own without doing a lot of research. We not only learned a lot but it helped us to become familiar with the city centre and so I think it’s a great tour to do early on in your visit.
We really loved the tour! While giving information on history and events, our guide also told us about her and her family's experiences and thoughts of the communist era. She was very informative and enthusiastic. It was a joy. (I'm not sure about our guide's name, I think it was Marina.) We were really happy with the tours we booked with the Free Moscow Tour.
It works, however beware the hideous Moscow traffic. The english audioguide is absolute in love with names and dates, telling your about all 17 villageroads leading up to the 4 (all named) centraal roudabouts etc..informative but you do not get a sense of the city..attenties! You need a printout of your ticket!
I ordered the tickets on getyourguide app and got help from the workers on the bus to get internet. Easy to find out how to get to the red square. It was a little confusing to understand the different lines, but I think they will be able to help.
Elena had the perfect level of knowledge and experience for the tour. Elena brought photos of the buildings in history and gave local knowledge about her family and events that made the tour come to life. thank you
