Enjoyable one hour trip to Greenwich and back with entertaining and informative commentary, good views in all directions, comfortable seating, decent bar/cafe service and clean toilets. Some confusion on board about on-the day revisions to the timetable which meant we were given wrong advice about return departure time but this was not a major issue in the end.

The boat trip and the commentary were great, as we’re the boat staff. We found however, that the timings for returning were unclear. For example we were told that the next boat back would be at 12.40 when actually it was ‘20 minutes from now’ meaning we missed that one and then had a potentially very long wait until the next boat which would take our tickets. We actually quit waiting and trying to work it out in the end and got the DLR back. Other than that, the boat was clean and comfortable and the staff were informative and friendly. I would use this again but not pay for the return portion and just use our travel ticket to get the DLR.

We were very lucky with the weather on this trip and had an excellent and beautiful time. There are options to sit both inside and outside on the boat which was great, and there was an excellent commentary from one of the sailors who pointed out some very interesting places and told us some good stories. Overall it was an excellent day out and thoroughly enjoyed. It did get a little bit windy and chilly on the top deck of the boat, but we stayed cosy and warm in our woolly hats and scarves. We went on a Monday and there was plenty of space on the boat. We almost had the whole of the top deck to ourselves which was excellent.
