Full description
Uncover the charms of picturesque Windsor, explore the academic centre of excellence that is Oxford, and marvel at ancient Stonehenge in its majestic grandeur on this full-day tour departing from London.

After leaving in the morning you will drive to Windsor, a place awash with natural beauty. Discover the 17th century historical monuments that line its cobbled streets. You can also take advantage of the option to visit the home of Queen Elizabeth II and enjoy a through-the-keyhole experience of the world’s largest and oldest castle.

Later, make your way to Stonehenge, its rocks rising up against the skyline on Salisbury Hill. Theories abound about this mysterious rock formation: Was it intended as a religious temple? An astronomical clock? A Bronze Age burial ground? Make up your own mind as you explore the unique landmark that has had the world stumped for 5,000 years.

Finally, head to Oxford for a walking tour. Follow in the footsteps of Oxford’s famous students, from C.S. Lewis to Bill Clinton, as you stroll the captivating courtyards and cobbled lanes of this historic university town. Take in the famous "city of dreaming spires" and see the Bodleian Library–one of the oldest libraries in Europe–on your visit. You’ll be captivated by the narrow alleys and ancient squares of this naturally beautiful town.

Fantastic, we had a great tour guide

The tour went to many sites and although you only have a bit of time at each it was nice to see everything in one day. The tour guide was awesome on this tour, he had funny side comments and not only let you know facts about the country but also told the group things about London as we left the city.

A must-do for visitors to London. An overall well-done daytrip.

The tour was well-organized. After sending a short email to the tour provider, GoldenTours, we were picked up from our hotel and brought to the meeting point were all the tours begin. The tour guide told us with distinct English humor about the sites worth seeing along the roads, as well as about interesting things going on there. Descriptions for all of the sites were available in multiple languages. All of the options are worth taking- from Windsor Castle to Stonehenge, they're all worth their price. Even though we had booked the tour online and therefore didn't automatically have a ticket to join the group, buying the ticket on location was quick and easy. In Oxford the guide led us on a well thought-out tour and at the end we had some free time. If you're quick on your feet you'll have time to check out Christ Church College (where Harry Potter was filmed)- it's worth it to go check it out . My advice: go on the tour!
