I am not normally a fan of tours but this one was great, with a very interesting and entertaining commentary from the coach driver, and interesting history and local information commentary on the boat. There was heavy traffic in Inverness the day I booked, meaning that the bus arrived / left late and we missed our timed boat. We were given two options for how we wanted to do the tour (2 hour cruise, or cruise and visit the castle) and everyone’s choices were accommodated, we just arrived back in Inverness later than originally planned. We were also given complimentary snacks on the cruise because of the delay. The castle is beautiful and the cruise really worth doing as you find out more about Loch Ness.
Thanks to our tour guide Andy, the day trip was super entertaining and interesting. He told as a lot (!) information about the country and the history of Scotland and the Highlands. The trip was perfectly organised and super fun. Apart from all the information you get, the trip is worth every Pound just for seeing the breathtaking landscape. I was there in November (maybe not the best time for Scotland) but we had perfect weather and the Highlands were beautiful. I would have given more than 5 stars if possible :)
Fantastic tour through the Highlands followed by a boat trip on the dark Loch Ness. Everything was well arranged. The tour guide / driver Allan was funny and was able to tell with great passion about the history of Scotland and occasionally interrupted by matching music. Pittstops were regularly held to enjoy the surroundings and take pictures. What I thought was a pity that we made a stop at the Callander parking lot and not at Doune Castle, which is just in front of it. Apart from that, we had a fantastic day.
Everything went well, Busdriver has been very welcoming, friendly informative and funny , ship crew just the same and the Hot chocolate with Whiskey soooo good . I have been at Urquart castle before but to see it from the Loch has been just amazing and I think we had enough time to walk around ( 55min) . all in all it has been a great tour and even my son (10years) enjoyed every minute ! Thanks to everyone involved, I would highly recommend it !
We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Loch Ness and exploring Urquhart Castle. The weather was warm and sunny. The drive to and from was made interesting by our guide Alan and a good ride by driver Marius. The whole tour was well organised and coach was comfortable. I'm glad I chose Get Your Guide which was good value for money. Thanks guys for a lovely scenic afternoon out.
