Full description
Depart from Llandudno Pier and climb aboard a comfortable minibus. Begin the tour along the scenic Great Orme Road, the longest of its kind in the UK with spectacular cliffs, wildlife and views out to the Irish Sea and Anglesey. Pass through the ancient castle town of Conwy to view the castle's domineering and towering walls and catch that picture-perfect photo from the Conwy Estuary Bridge.

Next, visit the fantasy castle and botanical gardens of Penrhyn where you will feel like you are stepping back in time to 1438. Admire the interiors which have been impeccably retained in its original setting. After this, drive over the world-famous Menai Suspension Bridge, designed to carry road traffic between the island of Anglesey and the mainland of Wales. Learn about how the bridge was the biggest in the world of its time and was completed in 1826 and is a Grade I listed structure. Take a walk over the bridge to Church Island for beautiful views of the Menai Suspension Bridge, the Britannia Bridge, St Tysilio’s Church Island, and the Menai Strait. Soak up the spectacular scenery and wildlife, as you get a real sense of the history of Anglesey.

Head on to the captivating seaside town of Beaumaris, known for its mix of Medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. Stroll through the town and along the seafront, taking in the pier and the views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia. Explore the charming streets with their picturesque cottages painted in soft pastel colors. Then visit and walk the grounds of the beautiful and unique Beaumaris Castle.

Arrive at Penmon Point for beautiful views of the lighthouse, Penmon Priory, and other historic buildings that date back as far as the 6th century. Then, see one of Anglesey’s most famous prehistoric landmarks, Bryn Celli Ddu, which is actually 2 sites in 1. Learn about how in the early Neolithic period, a henge enclosing a circle of stones was built here, to be replaced later by a chambered tomb beneath a mound. Inside, a long, narrow passage leads to an octagonal chamber where artifacts such as human bones, arrowheads, and carved stones have been found.

Finally, make a brief stop in the Welsh village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogogoch, once thought to be the village with the longest name in the world. Find out how the village still does boast some records, and the visit will help to reveal all. At the end of a memorable day, return back to Llandudno where your tour will end.
