What people are saying about Linlithgow Palace

Good excursion, though time constricted drive for an overview

Worth noting that many of the stops mentioned are truly "glimpses", at times during our journey obstructed or seen very briefly in the distance between the roadside trees as we zipped along the highway. Many actual stops were limited to under 5-minutes, with just enough time to take a breath and photo or two, and the lunch stops were crowded with other tour bus travellers. Long time to spend seated in a mini-bus, most certainly we would have enjoyed a longer walk and a bit more time at Perthshire than the single minute stroll to the base of the waterfall. Guide was friendly, stories & information shared entertaining, and the Highlands most certainly are beautiful; this excursion is a good way to get a broad limited overview of what the countryside may have to offer.

Nice day tour, great landscape, dedicated guide

Bus tour: long time sitting in the bus, but to see this wonderful landscape it's acceptable. Our bus driver Gregor was very dedicated. He played typical Scottish music and was telling a lot about Scottish history. Would be good if possible to turn the bus speakers louder. As a non-naitive speaker it's not that easy to understand everything if there are surrounding bus noises. It was awesome to be one time at the famous Loch Ness, but honestly it was a bit boring. The Loch Ness cruise was nice and we had great weather, but there is nothing else to do. All in all the tour was nice and got 5 stars from us, as the landscape you see during the tour is just awsome. We can recommend the tour if you have no problem to spend a lot of time in a bus.

Perfect day trip - couldn't have been better!

Thanks to our tour guide Andy, the day trip was super entertaining and interesting. He told as a lot (!) information about the country and the history of Scotland and the Highlands. The trip was perfectly organised and super fun. Apart from all the information you get, the trip is worth every Pound just for seeing the breathtaking landscape. I was there in November (maybe not the best time for Scotland) but we had perfect weather and the Highlands were beautiful. I would have given more than 5 stars if possible :)

Fantastic tour with a friendly and funny guide.

Fantastic tour through the Highlands followed by a boat trip on the dark Loch Ness. Everything was well arranged. The tour guide / driver Allan was funny and was able to tell with great passion about the history of Scotland and occasionally interrupted by matching music. Pittstops were regularly held to enjoy the surroundings and take pictures. What I thought was a pity that we made a stop at the Callander parking lot and not at Doune Castle, which is just in front of it. Apart from that, we had a fantastic day.

Very very very entertaining guide - Andy

We enjoyed our trip to the Highlands very very very much. Mostly of all because of the funny guide, Andy, who told many stories along the road and in a very humerous way that was welcomed very much by our 14-15-year-old students. (I tell you, not normally an age group easy to impress). We could have used a little more time in the Loch Ness area though. As an extra service we got picked up by the hotel because we were a big group and filled up the bus on our own. Thanks for the flexibilty in that way.
