What people are saying about La Triennale di Milano
The tour itself is a great way to see Milan in a short time once you can actually find the departure point. When you print the voucher the map does not print so you go to the Castle per the printed direction and there are no bus stops there. It's across the other side of the expo on the left hand side of the square, which is actually a roundabout! I had to ask several people who spoke limited English where the bus stop was and finally found it, but I wasted a lot of time and it was very frustrating. On day two we tried to get on at Corso Como and same problem, can't find the bus stop sign. Finally after asking more people we found the sign in a tree!! You can't see the sign at all, just the pole and it just looks like any other pole on the street. Lyon and Paris were much easier to find the departure points The trips are worth doing but make sure you print the Google map with the departure point before you head off.
So happy with this choice, picked the 48 hour ticket. First day did a couple of stops. Always ask about tickets from your hostess. We got tickets for the Doumo and bipassed all the lines, well worth the price. Lines were very long on Easter Monday. The next day felt more relaxed, went back to places we did not have time for the first day. Really listened and was able to notice a little better, not so overwhelmed with all the newness! Found areas we were able to explore the few days after when we had a little free time. Do not miss this opportunity to see more of he city then you would on your own!
I liked the routes and the explanations. Big bis tours are always well organized. I would like to point out that the music was too loud compared to the voice explanations and thus we kept turning the volume down and up, which is annoying. Also the routes were not the same on both days, the blue route didn‘t go to Porta Nuova on Sunday which was also annoying as we wanted our children to see it. There was also no hint about the changed route. Overall a good experience, but with room for improvement.
During the day we used all three open top bus routes which covered most of the city. Even in October the buses were frequent and provided a clean efficient service, some with head set commentary and other with guides, who on our tours were excellent and informative. Well worth the mney. This could then be followed up by specific visits to sights as required
Good way to get about. Good guides. Could have done with being little more frequent as they didn't always stick to times. Often early so if you missed it it was quite a wait for next one.
