What people are saying about Kyoto
An easy introduction to major Kyoto tourist sites
The tour provided a good introduction to several major tourist sites in Kyoto without the hassle of public transport - we bought a single day ticket and took in the sights at Nijo castle gardens, Nishiki market, the Golden Pavilion and Kyomizu Dera - all easily accessible from the bus stops with helpful guides - before leaving the tour to use public transport to find the Fushimi Inari shrine. It was much appreciated that we were given plastic fans (of course with added advertising) and ice packs to keep us cool in the 37 degree temperatures.
Great insight into Gion and good value for money.
Learnt about the history of Gion and Geisha. Wandered through the gorgeous streets of the Gion district with constant information in very good English by our guide Ayu. Was great value for money. A lot of people on the tour but it was no problem. Absolutely recommend this tour.
Guide very good! Here it stated meeting time 7.30, when it was 8.30
Super bad that they had the wrong meeting time setup in the platform where they sold the tour. That meant we were 80 minutes (as we wanted to be early) before we left. No compensation offered whatsoever. The guide was good and it offers a variety of things throughout one day.
A very good way to see the major attractions.
Take the activity level seriously! The pace is fast and there is a lot of walking on uneven surfaces and up hills. If you are a couch potato, this is not your tour! Tanny was knowledgeable and did a lot of preperatory history while we were in transit between sites.
Good overview of kyoto and well organised
Guide was tammy - very knowledgeable and fond of kobe, we took in 6 sites plus a few drive bys, meal was better than i expected, overall good value without a lot of time at some of the sights, not having to queue to pay or have hassle at each site was a bonus
