What people are saying about Kuranda

Fantastic value for money - one stop shop

Great Barrier Reef (outer reef) Was thinking about booking everything separately, but it was really not worth the hassel and so glad we did not - the boat journey was fantastic, the food was amazing and ample - we saw so many types of fish - would deffo recommend wearing the rash suits as we got very sunburnt though even with factor 50 - if you have a car utilise the parking under the hotel opposite as the outdoor carpark has limited stay if you are out all day. Railway and Skyrail (Hotel pick up and drop off included) were extremely good value as well, we got to stop off for photo opportunities on the Railway going up and the scenery was stunning, plenty of time to explore Kurunda, visit the animal attractions and brows the many varied shops - be warned you need cash as not all places take card. All in all excellent value for money, great organisation

Exciting, interesting and a trip of a lifetime

I enjoyed the Great Barrier Reef trip very much indeed, even though sadly the weather could have been better. The staff on board were helpful, professional and genuinely enjoyed their job. The food was outstanding and overall an excellent day out. The train and Skyrail was excellent helped by lovely weather and wonderful views. I stopped at the various stops on the Skyrail and enjoyed a wonderful talk by one of the rangers, all free of charge and the museum which was very informative. I would highly recommend this two day package for value, content and and if they could control the weather it would have been perfect beyond words.

Great fun, do research not really suitable for everyone. Be fit.

Great way to enjoy nature however rougher then we will all thought. I expected lots of floating and a bit of bumps but to be honest it was the other way round. It is not suitable for everyone you need a level of fitness as you do get tossed about. I am bruised quit a bit and only fell off once. Research a bit better them we did as there was only one person supporting us and really it needed 2 one at front and one at rear to keep us moving and to assist when we all had a tumble. Our guide however was great and supportive .Would I do it again absolutely NOT, others in the group however would. It was not just exactly what I thought.

Upgrade to Gold Class worth it for adults but too exp. for kids!

More original crafts, clothing, arts, made by local artists/residents is better, too much imported items! Not enough time to see attractions, markets, food, earlier departures, later returns possible??More live performances by local aborigines, didgeridoo playing, traditional painting to show true culture(young gen. dont seem to be interested enough in their heritage), overall still a great exp. my 10 yr old daughter loved it so did l for the second time!

Very good service for parents with a pram.

We found the experience with Tropical Wings to be above exceptional. We were travelling with a 6 month old baby and all that we need each day to cater for her needs. Every person throughout the day did everything in their ability to help us get on and off transport, assisted with storing equipment when we couldn’t take the pram. Couldn’t recommend higher the experience with this company.
