What people are saying about Krakow-Plaszow Concentration Camp
Excellent guide, polite and highly knowledgable who made it fun too. The tour itself I would like to have seen more specifically about Shindler and the factory ( memorabilia, mock ups, factory replicas , the workers, their lives etc). Instead it was heavy on looking at photos (about 80%) which I felt I could easily have googled and looked at. It just didn’t all seem relevant to that tour. A lot of what was said I had already learnt from a previous day auschwitz tour ( generalised war stuff). You almost put the museum in central Krakow, because I walked 45 mins to get there thinking I was going to see a factory or at least remains and mock up but instead went to a museum of photos and pictures. There are some replica flat rooms where workers lived snd a couple of bits of machinery but could have been more, and more relevant to Schindlers factory. Of all the tours in Krakow this was my least favourite, i got a little bored towards the back end. Good but i wouldn’t rush back!
A brilliant tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide who spoke excellent English. Lots to take in & learn about, and very fascinating. Our only gripe would be, that it would have been better had it of been a bit longer than the 1.5 hours, as there was a lot to see & take in. Make sure you pre-book tickets online as the queues were very long & can be sold out in advance too! Overall, a fantastic tour & something I would highly recommend everyone does when visiting Krakow as it really is a piece of iconic history!
This tour was primarily an exhibition of how Krakow was before and after Nazi occupation and very little on Schindler’s factory. Although interesting it was not what I expected. Fortunately we had a good tour guide who talked us through the tour and I would urge anyone going on this tour to ensure you have s guide or it will be difficult to walk you’re way through it,
The tour is excellent however, it doesn't really give you chance to read everything while you're following and listening to the guide. But this isn't a problem as you are allowed to re-enter from the start, once the tour has ended, so no problem whatsoever.
I was expecting to see the factory as it was but instead it was a history lesson on how Krakow was affected. The film in cinema was excellent and the exhibits very authentic. It was a good insight into the horrible times of the holocaust.
