Full description
Visit stunning St. Mary’s Basilica with a skip-the-line day ticket for quick and easy access.

The construction of the basilica began in the late 13th century on the foundations of a former Romanesque church. Over the centuries, the church underwent numerous reconstructions of both its exterior and interior.

Admire the painted decorations designed by Jan Matejko and created by Stanisław Wyspiański, Józef Mehoffer, and others in late 19th century. Marvel at the vault that imitates a star-filled sky and the walls covered by paintings with ornamental and heraldic themes and images of angels playing instruments or holding banderols with the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This is the second visit to the church this year. The main altar and focal point of the church is under renovation, there is scaffolding all around, might be worth waiting awhile till work is complete, saying that, there is a video playing on screen showing the work done so far.

This is not true, namely, after printing your tickets and so you have to stand in a queue to the cashier with everyone to pick up a ticket you can enter, so it was in the basilica, Wawel and everywhere where we bought tickets until this time. As a result, I don't really see the point in buying them before.

Skip the line... but first, make sure you have a printed ticket.

When we arrived at the Basilica, the ticket-taker at the door told us we had to have a printed copy of our tickets. Considering we purchased online, while in Krakow, we had no access to a printer. We had to walk 10 minutes and back, to get the ticket printed at the main office. Seems a bit old-fashioned.
